In Cherbourg, visit the Museum and Aquarium “La cité de la Mer”, an extraordinary voyage into the deep sea. Board the "Redoutable", one of the biggest submarines: an audio-tour will immerse you into the ambiance of operational patrols.

Further inland, at Crepon, visit the traditional umbrella makers H2O: their handmade umbrellas are so desirable that you'll wish for rain! Visit the various Chateaux, wander along the "Cider Route", call upon one of the educational farms and do not miss the "Sables d'Asnelles"!

Caen is known as the "City of a hundred steeples": discover the steeples from the ramparts of the Chateau of William the Conqueror, the “Abbey aux Dames” and the “Abbey aux Hommes". After visiting Caen and its historical city centre, you can stop at the Memorial, a World War ll museum but also a Museum for Peace.

Bayeux – City of Art and History.

Capital of Bessin, situated a few kilometres from the landing beaches, Bayeux was the first city to be liberated during Operation OverlordIt is one of the few left intact after the fighting of the Battle of Normandy and has retained a rich architectural and cultural heritage. Bayeux is a very old city spanning 20 centuries of history, it has an uncommon and miraculously preserved patrimony. Do not miss the 11th century Cathedral, rebuilt by Hugues 3rd of Bayeux around 1015 and completed by Odon de Conteville in 1097.

Visit the Bayeux Tapestry listed as "Memory of the World" by UNESCO.

Honfleur, the city of painters. Come and discover the medieval city of Honfleur, cradle of Impressionism, and Etretat, with its monumental, almost pristine, white chalk cliffs and grey pebble beaches.

Take a trip to Mont St Michel, on the way back you can stop at Villedieu les Poeles, city of copper, just a short hop from the Mont Saint Michel
